It’s a shame that one of the measurements for school progress doesn’t include whether or not schools employ full-time, professional School Librarians.
Some dude wrote, “Libraries are about as useful today as the Egyptian Pyramids. I can access more information on my iPad in the convenience of my living room than can ever be built into a library.” I HAD to respond.
One-Book City, County, or Community Programs are an excellent opportunity to promote libraries and literacy.
