Happy New Year! Time to Plan :-)
The week after Christmas, before New Year’s Day is my favorite time of year. Well, I love fall, too, but this particular week is glorious. No decorating or de-decorating to do. No gift-shopping or entertaining. All the twinkly Christmas crap stays up. And, most importantly, I can dream about how GREAT the next year is going to be without yet breaking any promises I have made. People sort of expect you to make resolutions. I LOVE it!
To celebrate 2013, I ordered a new plan book — keep in mind that I hunt for a new planner about twice a year. Fortunately, academic planners come out in July, so if or when I decide that the shiny new planner I bought in January isn’t working out, I can head back to the office supply store for a fresh replacement in summer.
Anywho, my new planner is so complicated that it includes a DVD. I haven’t watched it yet. I plan to. Write that down. “Watch planner DVD.” Wait. I’m supposed to be writing such tasks in the planner in one of the 7 columns at the top. But, I don’t want to wreck the new planner yet. Where IS that thing anyway? The DVD is in the pocket. I’ll just start a new To Do list on this scratch paper.
